God Doesn’t Ask You To Carry What Belongs To Him

For the person who made it through today but knows how much it took: you don’t have to minimize what you’re carrying just because you managed to carry it. God sees beyond the “I’m fine.” He sees the exhaustion, the effort, the moments you almost broke, and the strength it took to keep going. You are allowed to need rest. You are allowed to need comfort. You are allowed to need him.

God: I saw how hard today was for you.

You: I’m fine.

God: No, you’re not. And that’s okay. You don’t have to be fine all the time.

You: I just need to push through.

I see you pretending you’re okay when you’re barely holding on

God: Or you could let yourself feel it. You’ve been holding it together for everyone else. You smiled when you wanted to cry. You showed up when you wanted to hide. You kept going when everything in you wanted to stop.

You: Someone has to.

God: But not at the cost of yourself. I see the weight you’re carrying. I see the effort it took just to get through today. I see you pretending you’re okay when you’re barely holding on.

You: So what do I do?

God: Rest. Let yourself be human. Let yourself need me. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be strong right now. I’ve got you. Let me carry this for a while.
