There is a version of your life where you are no longer constantly bracing for the next thing to go wrong. Where you have enough room to dream beyond getting through the day. Where peace becomes familiar, receiving doesn’t scare you, and you finally believe that life can hold more than what you’ve had to survive. May God lead you there.
God,
I’ve been surviving for so long that I’ve forgotten what it feels like to actually live. Every month has been about making it to the next one. Every decision made from a place of scarcity, of fear, of just trying to hold everything together long enough to breathe. And I’m tired of living like that.
I wasn’t created to just survive. I know that. But survival became my default without me even realizing it. My way of thinking. My way of praying. My way of expecting. I stopped believing abundance was actually for me and started settling for just enough because just enough felt safer than hoping for more.
God, shift my mindset before you shift my circumstances. Break the scarcity thinking that’s been quietly running my life. Replace the fear of not having enough with the faith that you are more than enough. Help me stop approaching every day like someone who’s barely making it.
Move me out of survival mode in my finances, in my faith, in the way I see what’s possible for my life. I’m ready for more than just making it, God. Lead me into the abundance you promised.
Amen.
