You don’t have to know what October will bring to trust the hands you’re placing it in. May this be a month where you feel God’s protection in what finds you, what passes you by, and every place he redirects your steps.

God,

As I approach this new month, I am placing every day of October in your hands. You know what I am carrying, what I am hoping for, and what I am still healing from. Cover my mind with your peace, cover my home with your safety, and cover my heart with your steadiness. Let your presence go before me in every place I walk into, and guard me from anything that is not meant for me.

Protect the people I love, God. Guide our decisions. Keep our spirits gentle and our hearts aligned with you. If anything tries to disrupt our peace, whether it is fear, or confusion, or exhaustion, or uncertainty — let your protection root, let your protection outshine it. Let this month be held, not hurried.

Let me walk through October knowing I am protected, guided, and never beyond your reach. Whatever this month brings, God, keep me close to you.
