There is a universal invitation extended to every person on Earth to become children of God—to have an unshakeable identity, intimate relationship, and eternal belonging with Him. Yet the only way to accept this invitation is to fully receive Jesus—not merely to know Him by reputation or historical facts, but to personally welcome Him into every corner, aspect, and season of your life.
While His name is recognized across the world, there is a profound difference between believing facts about Jesus and believing in His name—completely having faith in His identity as the Son of God and trusting in the divine authority behind everything He taught. When we fully grasp who Jesus Christ truly is—the purpose of His existence, His mission on Earth, and the depth of His love and forgiveness for us—we experience a complete identity transformation. We are no longer just followers or disciples, but become children of God with the same divine inheritance as Christ Himself.
What does this radical transformation provide? The rights and privileges of being God’s children means experiencing abundant blessings, unconditional love, eternal peace, overflowing joy, perpetual forgiveness, and unwavering protection. We don’t just walk through life with a distant God—we live each day with a devoted Father who continuously pours out His goodness while empowering us to embody His very essence. This truth revolutionizes our identity, as our self-worth and sense of belonging becomes unshakeable because it’s rooted in the unbreakable father-to-child relationship with the Creator of the universe. The most beautiful part? We never had to earn this incredible gift—we simply had to choose to receive it.
Let’s Pray
Dear God, thank you for the invitation to be your child and for Jesus doing what he did to make this relationship possible. As I receive this gift from you, I want to deeper understand my identity as your child—how to grow in communication with you, how to better depend on you, how to trust you more fully. Allow me to live from my true identity as your child so that I can inspire others who haven’t yet received this gift to follow on the same path. Amen.
