Devotional Message

God is always for us, and while we will always have people who oppose us, deny us, or reject us—no opposition can ever succeed against our Heavenly Father. When we have unshakeable confidence in knowing God is always on our side, we can lay our hearts to rest knowing that His overwhelming love, divine support, grace, and guidance will always outweigh any negative force, opposition, or demonic energy that comes against us.

Each time we’re criticized, opposed, challenged, or rejected, the negative energy tends to grip at our hearts. We place more emphasis on individuals who bring us down rather than focusing on a God who constantly lifts us up. We give more energy to negative comments than the positive affirmations we receive. We give more weight to the people who’ve hurt us rather than those whose love has been unconditional. We then find ourselves living in spiritual darkness—questioning why our love is met with disdain, why we are being rejected, what could possibly be wrong with us if negative energy is constantly lurking around us.

There’s a profound difference, however, in living boldly in the divine truth that we are always spiritually backed by the Almighty. Negative comments, interactions, or people lose their power over us because we focus on the most powerful force instead—our God who is for us. We no longer feel alone in our struggles, but discover how divinely loved and supported we always are. We move from a fear of opposition to holy confidence in God’s support. From this state of divine assurance, nothing or anyone can ever truly bring us down—when we have God’s mighty hands lifting us at all times, what need is there to ever worry? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for always actively working for me, even in moments where I feel alone in my struggles. Oftentimes when I face challenges, I tend to focus on the negative forces consuming me–people and things that weigh me down. But today, I choose to focus on your divine strength that always lifts me up. Allow me to maintain confidence in your support, to help me remember this truth when opposition feels overwhelming. Even when others oppose me, reject me or deny me, I will stand firm in my strength, knowing that my security and confidence is placed in being on your side. Amen.
