Devotional Message

Every trial God allows in your life is to strengthen your soul, open your mind, and expand your capacity to receive more of His love and light. He will never allow more than what you can handle, and even when life feels unbearable—where your mind is filled with racing thoughts, your heart feels like a heavy weight, or your body is tense from holding onto so much—He is allowing it all to unfold to remind you of how strong, powerful, and resilient you are in Him.

When you reflect back on every challenge and trial in your life, at the time, it felt like the worst possible scenario and you questioned your ability to ever transcend that suffering. Yet, here you are—wiser, stronger, freer. Knowing that each trial God allowed you to walk through enabled you to expand, grow, and transform, you must trust that every current challenge and trial serves the exact same purpose. Like He did in the past, God provides an escape route or opens doors so you can walk through your difficulties. Whether it was a person God sent you, a conversation that expanded you, or an experience that transformed you, God provided what you needed, when you needed it, never allowing you to be overtaken by those temptations or trials.

You will continuously endure moral temptations or life tests, but each time you transcend them, a sense of victory and endurance washes over you. Even when you feel overwhelmed and fear grips your heart, keep an eye out for the ways God shows a ‘way out’ of your struggles. Open your heart to receiving guidance, wisdom, and support, and trust that God’s faithfulness will always carry you through the storm. Remember, no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind, and God is faithful—He will not let you be tested beyond what you can bear, but will provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for Your faithfulness to limit my trials and only allow me to experience things that You know I can handle and transcend. Lately, I feel disconnected from myself and feel like I’m constantly being tested, to the point where I feel like I can’t bear the problems that I’m facing. Give me strength and wisdom to discern the escape routes You are providing, and help me walk through them with trust. I know that I’m not alone and that I will overcome this challenge like I always have in the past. I’m grateful for this opportunity, for I know my soul is being expanded to become wiser, stronger, and freer, in order to receive the miracles and blessings that are waiting for me. Help me remember that You are faithful and will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear, but will provide a way out so that I can endure it. Amen.
