Devotional Message

Every believer has an army of angels surrounding them at all times, a divine source of protection that guards you from harm. God personally commands angels specifically for us—to care for us, to guide us, to lift us, to comfort us—not just in one area of life, but in all our ways. There is a tender, intentional, loving energy of protection surrounding us right at this moment, even if we can’t feel or sense it. This is one facet of God’s comprehensive nature of protection that watches over every step we take.

Each day, we all face battles that threaten some level of harm—spiritual harm, emotional harm, or physical harm. While each experience serves a purpose, as the suffering we face leads to deep inner transformation that God then turns into something good, within the period of that difficulty, we are divinely protected and ‘lifted up in their hands.’ We’ve experienced this before, perhaps without fully realizing it. In moments of despair, our legs moved despite the heavy weight, perhaps guided by unseen angelic hands lifting us. As tears fell before the mirror, our whispered prayers became divine comfort surrounding us. In random encounters with strangers, the encouraging words received were messages sent through our guardian angels.

In the ebb and flow of life, even when our physical world feels lonely or empty, there have always been invisible spirits lifting us up so that we will not strike your foot against a stone. When we find confidence in this supernatural protection, we can live with deep peace knowing that regardless of what the present moment holds, no matter how painful it is, no matter how daunting it seems, there is a consistent divine presence assuring us that you are always protected, always held, and always safe. God has commanded His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways, and they are faithful to fulfill that divine assignment.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for the angelic protection that You have blessed me with, that surrounds me each day and prevents me from experiencing harm. While I know You have gracefully gifted me this blessing, I am struggling to feel Your divine presence, especially as I face the specific challenges weighing on my heart today. So please help me become aware of this supernatural protection around me. Show me a sign, guide me into an encouraging conversation, let me feel their gentle hands lifting me—help me recognize when Your angels are at work in my life. Give me boldness to walk confidently knowing that I am always surrounded by Your protection, from both seen and unseen dangers that I may not even realize threaten me. When I feel lonely, abandoned, or afraid, I will choose to remain at peace knowing that You have commanded Your angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways. Help me trust that even when I can’t see them, they are lifting me up in their hands so that I will not stumble or fall. Amen.
