Devotional Message

You have a powerful calling that God planned for you before you even came onto this earth. Deep down, there is a part of you that knows you are capable of fulfilling the dreams in your heart and creating a ripple effect by living as a positive example for others. Yet, the world has taught you that age and experience determine spiritual maturity, the ability to lead, or powerful influence, resulting in you defining your worth against the metrics society has bestowed upon you or halting you from ever beginning. However, God has commissioned you with the responsibility and privilege of being a light for other believers, and the more you deny your inherent greatness, the less of His glory can shine through you into this world.

Oftentimes, we allow the limiting beliefs of others to be cast over our capabilities. We let the projections of others dictate how we show up in this world, how we present ourselves, what we create and what we share. We allow the fears of others to become our own, hindering us from fully stepping into the purpose He designed for us. Yet, when we fully embrace the gifts God has given us—through our actions and behaviors in daily life—and ignore the opinions, projections and limiting beliefs of others, we focus on our own spiritual growth in ways that inspire others to do the same.

When we lead by example—through speech, conduct, love, faith and purity—we become vessels of His light for others to follow. We then create a ripple effect of living in the image God intended for all of us, and through that consistent character we build authentic influence over time. We stop seeking human validation and instead feel confident in the divine calling that came from God. By showing up as our authentic selves, we inspire others to do the same—and from that place, the world is infused with more of God’s love and light, creating a world where we are all deeply rooted in our individual purposes and callings.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, infuse my spirit with confidence to step into the influence you have called me to offer this world. Allow me to let go of the projections, limitations and fears of others, so that I no longer seek human validation and instead, have the courage to lead by example. I will strive to show up proudly and bravely, to speak with grace and truth in all conversations, and live as my most authentic self. Purify my heart and mind from all negative motives, and instead, fill my heart with unwavering faith that you have chosen me to be a leader in this world. Let your Holy Spirit guide my words and actions, so that others may see your love reflected through me. Protect me from any discouragement when others underestimate me or if I do not feel seen, and help me gain strength to continue showing up for you even when no one is watching. May my life be a testament to your goodness and grace. Amen.
