Devotional Message

One’s spiritual life, relationship with God and eternal destiny is priceless and irreplaceable. Yet our natural tendency is to prioritize temporary over eternal things—achieving maximum earthly success, wealth, power and pleasure. Society pressures us at each moment to pursue these worldly metrics of success at the expense of spiritual health, often leading many individuals into emptiness not because they lack achievements, but because they neglected their souls on the path to acquiring them.

No amount of material success can satisfy our deepest spiritual needs. Our soul is our spiritual identity—it is how we relate to God, commune with God, follow God, and become vessels for His purposes. Yet most of us make choices not from that soul-centered place. We evaluate life through temporary human measures, seeking fame and fortune over service and spiritual fulfillment. When we compromise our spiritual values for worldly advancement, we not only operate from ego, but we lose our entire sense of purpose. We outsource our peace, fulfillment, joy and love to external circumstances. But when you prioritize your soul, no matter where you are, what you have, what you don’t have, or who you’re with—you remain full of love, peace and gratitude.

When it comes to career decisions, relationships and daily priorities, we must learn to operate from a soul level—not rushing but trusting divine timing, not doing things for status but from love, not doing things to gain something but rather to give. When we prioritize our spiritual life and refuse to forfeit our souls, we discover something far more valuable than worldly success—we gain citizenship in God’s kingdom, where true treasure never fades.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, help me prioritize eternal values over temporary worldly success, and protect me from the societal temptation to sacrifice my spiritual integrity for worldly gain. I find myself often seeking earthly achievements, which pulls me farther away from you and my own soul. Yet I want to connect with myself and you even deeper—please give me clarity on what truly matters when making decisions, and help me find fulfillment in my relationship with you rather than in achievements. Give me strength to choose your path even when it goes against what society is pressuring me to do. I am immensely grateful for the priceless value of our relationship and the one I am strengthening with my own soul. Teach me how to live from that soul-centered place, making choices that honor you rather than impress others. Help me remember that my worth comes from being your child, not from what I accomplish. Amen.
