Devotional Message

There is a door available and accessible to each of us every moment of our lives. It is filled with opportunities, promises and breakthroughs, and serves as the pathway for our greatest prayers to be answered. Yet many of us resist communion with God. We struggle to find the right words, so we remain silent. We try to be perfect in our faith, so we resist asking from an honest place. We don’t want to seem demanding, so we raise our fists to the door yet pull back without knocking. But it is through our spiritual hunger and leaning into it, that we open the door within us to reveal God’s heart.

There are levels to our faithfulness, each requiring sustained effort and trust as we progress through them. First, we must ask—not necessarily for what we want, but to align with God’s will, timing and plan. We then must seek—following His guidance, discovering God’s presence everywhere, learning to recognize His voice. Finally, we must knock—when we find ourselves with the opportunity, we must have courage and faith to step forward, knowing that God deems us ready for the next chapter of our lives.

Within each step must lie a quiet certainty in your heart. As Jesus promised, with every action comes a promise—given, find, opened—demonstrating God’s faithful response to every aligned spiritual step you take. This level of certainty beyond logic, where every sincere prayer and faithful step in your spiritual pursuit receives an answer, is what builds faith as you move through each level. We then evolve from simple requests for specific things to determined seeking to persistent knocking—aligning ourselves with God’s will while dancing through this human existence with Him at our center.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, I am coming to you today not to ask for anything specific, but to simply ask you to align me with your will, timing and plan. Infuse courage and bravery in my spirit so that I can continue to ask you for guidance, seek your presence and knock when the time is right. Even if the answers don’t come immediately, or if I feel like I’m walking on the wrong path, I will maintain certainty that you are guiding me always. I trust that the gifts you bless me with may not be exactly what I have in mind, but are always better. As I continue to ask, seek and knock, I know that some doors may seem closed or not ready for me to open—so teach me how to be patient as you lead me toward my divine destiny. Help me find peace in the journey, knowing that every step with you is preparing me for what’s ahead. Amen.
