God Is Telling You to Stop Being Grateful for Scraps

If you have been wondering whether that text really meant anything, this is for you. Sometimes the people who keep circling back are not coming home. They are just making sure the door is still open in case they need somewhere to land.

You: They texted me again.

God: And? What did they want?

Stop responding like you’re grateful for scraps. You’re not their backup plan.

You: Just to check in. To see how I’m doing.

God: Let me guess — they gave you just enough attention to keep you interested, but not enough to actually commit to anything real.

You: Yeah …

God: You deserve more than that. They’re not checking in because they care. They’re checking in because they want to make sure you’re still available when it’s convenient for them.

You: So what do I do?

God: Stop responding like you’re grateful for scraps. You’re not their backup plan. You’re not their “maybe later.” Either they’re choosing you clearly, or you’re choosing yourself.

Stop giving your energy to people who only show up halfway. I have something so much deeper waiting for you on the other side of this. I promise. It is time to let go.
