What If God Is Setting You Up For More?

Trust that God is about to show you just how good it gets.

You: What if it doesn’t work out?

God: What if it works out better than you imagined?

protecting yourself from disappointment is also protecting yourself from possibility.

You: I’m just being realistic.

God: You’re catastrophizing. You’re so focused on all the ways it could go wrong that you can’t see all the ways I’m making it go right.

You: But what if I fail? What if I’m disappointed again?

God: What if you succeed? What if this is the breakthrough you’ve been praying for? What if I’m about to surprise you with how good it gets?

You: I don’t want to get my hopes up.

God: You don’t want to get hurt, I understand. But protecting yourself from disappointment is also protecting yourself from possibility. You’re so busy preparing for the worst that you’re missing me preparing the best.

You: So I just… wait, and hope?

God: You trust. You believe that I’m working things out in your favor. You stop letting fear write the ending before the story even begins. What if it works out? What if it’s better than you imagined? What if I’ve been setting this up the whole time and you’re about to see why? Have faith.
