Trust The Quiet Season God Is Working

There are seasons where everything slows down. No clear movement, no big signs—just silence. It can feel uncomfortable, like you’ve been forgotten or left behind. But not every quiet season means nothing is happening. Sometimes, the most important growth doesn’t make noise. Sometimes, the stillness is where the real work begins.

You: It’s so quiet in this season.

God: Quiet is where we do the deepest work.

You: But it feels like nothing is happening.

God: That’s because you’re looking for the noise, and the visible, external progress. But the most important work I do in you happens in the stillness. In the silence. In the seasons when everything calms.

Stuck is resisting. Still is surrendering.

– Jacqueline Whitney

You: I just feel… stuck.

God: You’re not stuck. You’re being still, and there’s a difference. Stuck is resisting. Still is surrendering. You’re learning to hear my voice without the distraction. You’re healing wounds you didn’t even know you had. You’re becoming someone you couldn’t become in the chaos.

You: So what am I supposed to do?

God: Stop running from the quiet. Stop filling every moment with noise because silence makes you uncomfortable. Sit with me in it. Let me work on you without you performing or forcing movement. The quiet isn’t punishment. It’s preparation. And when this season ends, you’ll see why you needed it.
