God doesn’t see your doubt as a sign that you failed; he sees it as the natural expansion that happens when you finally make room for something new. You are allowed to grieve what you left behind without needing to go back to it. Trust that he was standing with the version of you who made that choice, and he is standing with you now as you navigate the quiet after.
God: I overheard you wondering if you made the wrong decision.
You: I just keep second-guessing it.
When you made the choice, you had peace.

God: I know. But the doubt isn’t proof you made the wrong choice. Sometimes it’s just the discomfort of doing something hard. Those aren’t the same thing.
You: What if I made a mistake?
God: You can trust your discernment. When you made the choice, you had peace. You had clarity. The doubt only came later, after the discomfort set in. Don’t mistake regret for revelation. Sometimes the right decision feels uncertain in hindsight, especially when you’re grieving what you had to leave behind.
You: So how do I know?
God: Look at what’s coming back to life in you since you made the choice. Look at the peace that’s slowly returning. Look at how you’re sleeping. The body knows. The spirit knows. The doubt is just the mind catching up.

You: I just don’t want to look back and regret it.
God: You won’t. The version of you that made that decision was wiser than you give her credit for. Trust her. I was with her when she made it. I’m with you now.
