New Voicemail From God: Stop Measuring Your Life Against Theirs

The rebuilding. The healing. The unlearning. The returning to yourself after seasons that disconnected you from who you are.

That matters too.

New Voicemail from God — 10:44 PM

“Stop measuring your life against theirs.

I know it is difficult not to compare yourself sometimes. You see people finding love sooner. Moving forward faster. Reaching milestones you thought you would have by now. And it’s hard not to begin questioning your own life through the lens of someone else’s timeline.

You are not late because your journey looks different. You are becoming.

– Jacqueline Whitney

But comparison will make you misunderstand your own story.

You cannot measure your journey against people who were given different assignments, different wounds, different timing, and different paths to walk.

What takes one person a year may take another person ten because they are not becoming the same version of themselves.

Your life has required deep rebuilding, and healing, and unlearning. It has required you to return to yourself after seasons that disconnected you from who you truly were. That work matters too.

You keep assuming your life is behind because your transformation has not always been externally visible. But some of the holiest growth happens internally, and beneath the surface where nobody applauds it yet.

You are not late because your journey looks different. You are becoming.”
