Sometimes we try so hard to look like we have strong faith, even when inside we feel uncertain, lost, and overwhelmed by doubt. In those honest moments, it’s okay to admit where you really are and bring it all to God. Take a quiet moment to pray this and let Him gently rebuild your trust in Him again.
Dear God,
Today I’m choosing to be courageous and vulnerable about the spiritual struggles I’m currently facing. Over the last few weeks, I have been trying to maintain perfect belief, pretending that everything is well and that I trust You completely in all areas of my life. But the truth is God, I feel so weak and uncertain about everything, I have no idea where I’m heading, and I’m battling many internal struggles that prevent me from even trusting myself. So today, I’m accepting that this is where I am, and am grateful that You also accept me even when my faith isn’t perfect. As I experience my current limitations, please help me overcome my unbelief and deepen my faith again, God.
I trust that this moment of honest vulnerability will lead to a massive shift in my journey with You, and I will honor the fact that the part of me that believes overpowers the voice that doubts, knowing that I am bringing this struggle directly to You. Help me continue to be honest about my spiritual battles, so that I can fill my heart with Jesus’s strength. Like the father in the Gospel, I cry out: ‘I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’
Amen.
