We all have moments when we get caught up in wanting more, more things, more success, more validation, thinking it will finally make us feel whole. When that happens, we just need to slow down and remember that real peace isn’t found in what fades, but in staying close to God. Pray this with me and feel His peace.
Dear God,
Give me wisdom today to discern between temporary and eternal priorities. As the world around me pulls me toward worldly desires and materialism, tempting me to seek instant gratification, I ask for clarity on what your will looks like at this stage in my life. I know that my life has eternal significance beyond this earth, so please help me invest my time and energy today in things that last forever, and use my gifts in a way that serves you.
Give me freedom from comparison and anxiety that comes from chasing temporal things, so that I can be a vessel for your love and light and experience true lasting fulfillment. May my heart find its rest in you alone, knowing that serving you is all I ever need.
