What You’ve Been Praying For Is Waiting For You To Make Room

Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t found in holding on a little longer. Sometimes it’s found in finally releasing what was never meant to go with you into your next season. What feels like an ending may actually be making room for the very thing you’ve been praying for.

Angel 1: She’s letting go.

Angel 2: Finally. How long has she been holding on?

She’s going to be more than okay. She just had to let go first.

– Jacqueline Whitney

Angel 1: Too long. Long past when it stopped serving her. Long past when God closed that door. She kept holding on because letting go felt like losing.

Angel 2: What changes now?

Angel 1: Everything. Watch. The moment she fully releases it, her hands are open. And open hands can receive what closed ones couldn’t.

Angel 2: What’s coming for her?

Angel 1: What she’s been praying for. What she stopped expecting. What she told herself wasn’t possible anymore. It’s been waiting for her to make room.

Angel 2: Why couldn’t it come while she was still holding on?

Angel 1: Because what’s coming requires space she wasn’t giving it. You can’t receive what your hands are too full to hold.

Angel 2: Is she scared?

Angel 1: A little. Letting go always feels like falling at first. But watch what happens after the fall. Watch what catches her. Watch what she finds on the other side of releasing it.

Angel 2: She’s going to be okay.

Angel 1: She’s going to be more than okay. She just had to let go first.
