Why Are You Waiting For Permission God Already Gave You?

The life God has for you does not require unanimous approval.

God: You don’t need anyone’s permission.

You: Permission for what?

God: To live the life you want. To want what you want. To make the decision you’ve been making everyone else weigh in on. You’ve been waiting for someone to bless your choices so you can finally make them.

You: I just want to be sure.

Stop waiting for the world to give you permission to live your own life.

– Jacqueline Whitney

God: You’re using their opinions as a substitute for trusting yourself. As long as someone else is the one giving you permission, you can blame them if it doesn’t work out. But you can also never fully own what you’re stepping into.

You: What if I make the wrong choice?

God: Then you’ll learn something. And you’ll choose differently next time. But the wrong choice isn’t half as costly as not choosing at all because you were waiting for everyone to agree with you first.

You: I’m scared.

God: I know. But you have me. You have your own discernment. You have everything you need to take the next step. Stop waiting for the world to give you permission to live your own life. I already did.
