There is comfort in remembering that God can watch over what you cannot. You don’t have to carry the weight of protecting everything on your own.
God,
Today I’m not praying for myself alone. I’m praying for everyone and everything I love. The people who matter most to me. The relationships I’ve built. The dreams I’ve been nurturing. The life you’ve been helping me create. Cover all of it, God.
Protect the people I love from harm I can’t see coming. Guard their health, their minds, their hearts. Keep them safe in ways I never could on my own. Watch over them in the moments I’m not there, in the places I can’t reach, in the situations I don’t even know they’re facing.
Protect my relationships from division, from misunderstanding, from anything trying to wedge itself between me and the people you’ve placed in my life. Protect my peace from what tries to steal it. Protect my faith from what tries to shake it. Protect my purpose from what tries to distract it.
God, cover everything I love with your presence. Let nothing that isn’t from you get close enough to do damage. I can’t protect what matters most on my own — but you can. And I’m trusting you to do exactly that.
Amen.
