The Freedom You’re Praying For Begins With Letting Go

Sometimes the freedom you’re praying for begins with the thing you’re most afraid to release.

God’s Response To:I’m afraid to let this go.”

I know.

You’ve been holding on for so long that letting go feels like losing yourself. You’ve built a version of who you are around this. You’ve made room for it in your prayers, your plans, your future. Releasing it feels like releasing something bigger than what you’re actually gripping.

You don’t have to know how to let go

Jacqueline Whitney

But holding on isn’t keeping it alive.

It’s just keeping you from what’s next.

I’m not asking you to release it all at once. I’m just asking you to loosen your grip. To trust me with the outcome you’ve been trying to control. To let me take over the part of the story you’ve been white-knuckling. You don’t have to know how to let go. You just have to be willing to let me help you.

I’ll be gentle. I’ll be patient. I’ll meet you in the fear of releasing what you’ve been holding for so long. But please stop treating this as if letting go means losing yourself. On the other side of releasing it, you’re finally free.
