Every month doesn’t have to end with every prayer answered for it to have been full of God’s faithfulness. Sometimes the greatest gift you can carry into a new season is the willingness to leave the last one in his hands.
God,
July is closing and I’m choosing to let it go. Not with bitterness over what didn’t happen, not with regret over what I couldn’t control, but with gratitude for how you carried me through every single day of it — even the ones that were harder than I expected.
I’m releasing the prayers that went unanswered this month. I’m releasing the disappointments, the delays, the moments where I expected you to move and couldn’t see it happening. I’m putting July down so I can pick August up with open hands.
God, as a new month begins, I want to receive everything you have for it. The breakthrough that’s been building. The provision that’s been preparing. The answered prayers, the open doors, the unexpected blessings that have my name on them. I don’t want to miss what August carries because I was too busy grieving what July didn’t give me.
I’m releasing July, God.
And I’m stepping into August ready to receive.
Amen.
