A Prayer For A Summer Of Unexpected Blessings

Don’t just ask God for a good summer. Ask him for an unexpected one. The kind where he shows up in ways you didn’t plan for and couldn’t have orchestrated yourself. The kind you look back on and say “only God could have done this.” Be open. Stay expectant. Your best summer might be the one you least expected.

God,

I’m not just asking for a good summer. I’m asking for a God summer — the kind where you show up in ways I didn’t plan for, didn’t see coming, and couldn’t have orchestrated on my own. The kind of summer I look back on and say, “Only God could have done that.”

Surprise me this season. Bless me in ways I haven’t thought to ask for. Open doors I didn’t know existed. Bring people into my life I wasn’t expecting. Answer prayers I’d almost stopped praying. Let this be the summer where your goodness catches me off guard, where your provision shows up before I see the need, where your favor follows me into rooms I didn’t even know I was being prepared for.

God, I don’t want to sleepwalk through this season focused only on what I’m waiting for. I want to be present enough to notice every unexpected blessing you place in my path. Open my eyes to your goodness in the ordinary moments, not just the big ones.

Let this summer be marked by your fingerprints — on my finances, my relationships, my peace, my purpose. Do what only you can do this season.

Amen.
