What if August is the month everything changes?

God,

I’m not coming into August the same way I’ve entered every other month this year — hoping things will be different but secretly bracing for more of the same. I’m coming in with expectation. Real expectation. The kind that believes you’re about to do something in this month that shifts the trajectory of everything.

Let August be the month the financial pressure finally lifts. The month the relationship that’s been uncertain finds clarity. The month the door I’ve been standing in front of finally opens. The month the prayer I’ve been praying the longest finally gets answered. Not because I’ve run out of patience, but because I believe your timing is perfect and August might just be it.

God, I don’t want to look back at August the same way l’ve looked back at every other month this year — wondering when things are finally going to change. I want to look back and point to August as the month everything shifted. The month I stopped surviving and started living. The month your faithfulness became undeniable in my life.

Let August be that month, God. I’m ready for everything to change.
