We live in a world where it’s easy to stress over people’s opinions, like wanting approval from family, friends, or even coworkers for everything we do. We must learn to let go of that pressure and remember that what truly matters is doing our best for God. Pray this with me and feel His peace.
Dear God,
Give me strength today to give my best effort in all of my tasks, especially the ones that I am not looking forward to doing. Help me remember that my true audience is You and not the people around me—family members, friends or my colleagues. I am grateful for the dignity and purpose you give to my work, and I trust that serving others is an expression of serving Christ.
As I experience the day ahead, free me from the need for constant human approval, recognition and validation, so that I can seize the day through a pure intention. I trust that the work I do today will have eternal significance, and so help me maintain excellence even when no one is watching.
