As a new month begins, don’t limit your expectations to what feels realistic. God has always been able to do far more than you can imagine, and one moment of his favor can accomplish what months of striving never could.

God,

I’m not asking for an ordinary August. I’m asking for the kind of month I look back on and can’t explain without pointing directly to you. The kind where you show up in ways I didn’t plan for, didn’t see coming, and couldn’t have manufactured on my own.

Move in my life this month like never before. Not just in the areas l’ve been praying about the longest — but in the places I’ve stopped expecting you to show up. The situations I’ve quietly accepted as permanent. The prayers I’ve scaled back because I got tired of believing big and being disappointed.

Do what only you can do, God. Open what logic says should stay closed. Provide before I see the need. Align what I couldn’t align on my own. Show up in ways that leave no doubt it was you — not my effort, not my strategy, not my timing.

I want August to be the month that changes my testimony. The month I point to when someone asks me if God is still faithful. Move like never before, God. I’m ready to see it.
