A Prayer For Healing From The Hurt Others Have Caused

When we’ve been hurt by people we cared about, it can leave us carrying pain, confusion, and the pressure to fix everything on our own. Sometimes, healing begins by doing our part with grace, setting healthy boundaries, and trusting God with what’s beyond our control. Come, pray this with me, and let Him begin restoring the places in your heart that were wounded.

Dear God,

Help me discern what is and isn’t within my control in all of my relationships. I strive to cultivate peace by bringing harmony to every connection I have, even when those individuals do not reciprocate. Teach me how to set healthy boundaries while still creating space for grace and kindness, and help me become aware of when to keep trying and when to accept that harmony isn’t possible with certain people.

There are relationships where conflicts have caused pain and division, yet I am ready to heal the part of myself that was wounded. As I live harmoniously, I trust that you will fill my heart with peace knowing that I’ve done everything in my power to pursue healthy relationships. Even when others don’t respond to my efforts, I will strive to forgive them and release them to you. Help me find freedom in focusing on my part while trusting you with theirs.

Amen.
