You don’t need a perfect month to have a beautiful ending. Sometimes all it takes is one answered prayer, one unexpected door, one moment of God’s goodness to remind you how quickly a season can change.
God,
The first half of August didn’t go exactly the way I hoped. There were moments I expected you to move and couldn’t see it happening. Prayers I brought into this month that are still waiting on answers. Days that felt heavier than I anticipated. But I’m not writing August off. I’m asking you to let the second half be different.
Do in the remaining days of August what didn’t happen in the first. Open what stayed closed. Answer what stayed silent. Move in what stayed still. I’m not asking for perfection —l’m asking for progress. For something I can point to and say God was in that.
Restore what the first half of August took from me. Renew my faith where it got worn down. Rebuild my expectation where disappointment quietly talked me out of it. And remind me that you don’t need a whole month to do what only you can do — you just need the days that are left.
The second half of August is yours, God. Make it count.
