Sometimes, we let fear and worry guide our decisions without realizing how much they disturb our peace. When we choose to let God’s peace lead our hearts, it can gently guide our choices and bring calm not only to us but also to the people around us. Let’s entrust this moment to God and pray with me.
Dear God,
Today, I come to you asking you to infuse my heart with Christ’s peace and to let it have authority over my fears, worries, and anxieties. There are certain areas of my life right now that feel troublesome, leading me to make decisions from a place of lack versus wholeness.
So as I move through the day, help me use your peace as a guide in all decisions—where I go, what I do, and what I say. Let the peace of Christ rule in my heart like an umpire, helping me discern your will in every situation. Show me today that when I operate from a state of peace, I contribute to harmony in my community and bless the people I love the most.
As things occur in the following hours, teach me to express gratitude so that I can fully live in Christ’s peace. Thank you for calling me to this peace as a member of your body, and help me be thankful in all circumstances.
