Today, take a moment to do more than just thank your mother. Lift her up to the God who knows her heart even better than you do. Ask God to pour back into her everything she has poured out. Ask him to restore her energy, to steady her spirit, and to meet her in the quiet places where she carries her own heavy burdens.
She has spent a lifetime carrying you. Now, let God carry her.
God,
Today, I want to lift up my mother to you. Thank you for giving me her. For the sacrifices she made that I’ll never fully understand. For the love she gave even when she was exhausted. For the prayers she prayed over me when I didn’t know I needed them. For showing up, day after day, even when it was hard.
Bless her today, God. Bless her with rest when she’s tired. Bless her with peace when she’s overwhelmed. Bless her with joy that doesn’t depend on whether her kids are doing well or not. Let her know she’s appreciated, not just today, but every day. Let her feel seen, valued, and loved the way she’s made others feel seen, valued, and loved.
Restore what motherhood has taken from her. Strengthen her where she feels weak. Heal her where she’s been hurt. Surround her with people who pour into her the way she pours into everyone else. And remind her that she’s doing better than she thinks she is.
God, bless my mother. She deserves it.
Amen.
