As we try to move forward in life, old habits and patterns can sometimes hold on tighter than we expect. This might be the right time to ask God to renew our minds and help us step into the person He created us to become. Let’s pause and pray together.

Dear God,

Today, I come to you for help—I am ready to change my life, yet my old self is gripping tightly. I want to put off the former way of life and break free from the patterns, behaviors, and beliefs that are holding me back from living in your truth, so that I can have the energy to live the life you have planned for me.

Help me recognize the patterns that are limiting me and give me clarity on the deceitful desires that are corrupting my old self. Allow me to be renewed in the spirit of my mind so that my thoughts align with your truth and purpose. Guide me in each present moment to break these limitations so that I can be transformed into the person you created me to be—one who reflects your righteousness and holiness. Thank you for teaching me, through Christ, this path of transformation.
