Some of the hardest decisions aren’t between right and wrong. They’re between holding on a little longer and finally trusting yourself enough to release. If you’re standing in that space right now, may God make the difference clear. May what is yours give you the strength to stay, and may what is finished give you the peace to leave.
God,
I’m stuck. I don’t know if I’m supposed to keep fighting for this or if I’m supposed to let it go. I don’t know if holding on is faith or if it’s fear. I don’t know if letting go is surrender or if it’s giving up too soon. So today, I’m asking you to show me clearly — when to hold on and when to let go.
Give me discernment to know the difference between perseverance and stubbornness. Help me recognize when I’m holding onto something because you told me to, or when I’m holding on because I’m afraid of what happens if I don’t. Show me when letting go is actually obedience, not failure.
God, I don’t want to spend another day forcing what you’re releasing or walking away from what you’re asking me to steward. So make it clear. Speak to my spirit in a way I can’t miss.
Help me trust that whatever you’re asking me to release isn’t being taken from me — it’s being removed to make space for what’s next. And whatever you’re asking me to hold onto, give me the strength to fight for it even when it’s hard. I’m listening, God.
Show me what to do.
Amen.
