Faith is easy when the evidence agrees with it. The real test comes when God’s promises and your circumstances seem to be telling two different stories. When nothing looks like it’s working. When the answer hasn’t arrived. When the breakthrough feels further away than ever.
Those are the moments that ask us a deeper question: Will we trust what we see, or will we trust what God said?
God,
Right now, my circumstances are telling me one thing and your Word is telling me another. And it’s hard to hold onto what you’ve said when everything around me seems to be contradicting it. When the situation looks impossible. When the evidence points the other way.
When what I see with my eyes makes what I believe in my spirit feel naive.
But I’m choosing to stand on what you said. Not because it’s easy, not because I have unwavering faith right now, but because your Word has never failed and my circumstances have lied to me before.
You said you’d provide — so I’m standing on that even when my bank account says otherwise. You said you’d restore — so I’m standing on that even when restoration feels far away. You said you work all things together for my good — so l’m standing on that even when nothing feels good right now.
God, strengthen my faith where it’s wavering. Anchor me to your truth when doubt starts pulling me under. Remind me that what you’ve spoken over my life is more permanent than what I’m currently experiencing.
My circumstances are temporary. Your Word is not. Help me live like I believe that.
