We are blessed to know the depth of Christ’s love, yet it can still be challenging to reflect that same love in how we treat others. Our willingness to love sacrificially grows when we allow God to soften our hearts and guide us beyond bitterness, fear, or self-focus. Let’s turn our hearts toward Him in gratitude through this prayer.

Dear God,

Thank you for Jesus laying down his life for all of us, and for allowing me to understand the depth of his sacrificial love for me. I confess that over the years, I have been selfish and there have been many areas of my life where I’ve withheld love out of bitterness, fear, or envy. But my desire and willingness to lay down my life for others has grown and today, I commit to sacrificial service in daily relationships—help me spread the love that you freely give to me.

Teach me to love as Christ loved, removing all conditions and barriers that prevent me from truly loving others. Transform my heart so that I move from needing to be loved to actively loving others, reflecting the sacrificial love that Jesus showed when he laid down his life for us.
