A Voicemail From God The Morning After A Really Hard Night

Be gentle with yourself.

“Good morning. I was with you last night — I want you to know that first. I was there for all of it. Through the tears.

Through the doubts that came in at midnight and wouldn’t leave. Through the moments you felt so alone you didn’t know what to do with yourself. I was in that room with you the entire time. I know it didn’t feel like it. I know it felt like the loneliest night you’ve had in a long time. But you were never alone in it — not for a single minute. I let you feel it because you needed to. Because you’ve been holding that in for longer than you realize and your body needed somewhere to put it. Last night was not a breakdown. It was a release.

And this morning, even if it’s slow, even if you’re tired, even if the weight hasn’t fully lifted yet — this morning is new.

You made it through the night. That matters more than you know. Take today slowly. Drink some water. Be gentle with yourself. I’ve got the rest. I love you. I’ll talk to you soon.”
