Divine Nudges: The One Question That Separates Intuition From Fear

There is a quiet voice inside each of us—a place of reasoning, honesty, calmness, presence—that simply knows the truth. It speaks of what is right at each moment, of where in your journey you’re currently walking, whether the dream inside your heart is real, whether the people in your sphere are energetically aligned, which path to take, what to say, where to go. It simply always knows.

Throughout life, others may have told you not to listen to your intuition or diminished your confidence anytime you did, causing you to lock that voice away, walking instead with fear, anxiety, and worry as your companions. Therefore, our intuition isn’t something we need to develop, but rather, something we must uncover by removing the noise that prevents us from hearing that quiet whisper that has always been there.

When we reconnect with this voice, the challenge becomes not only hearing it, but feeling what it’s saying and where in your body it communicates through.

Your intuition doesn’t come from the thinking mind, but from the connected heart. It creates that ‘gut feeling’ we all experience—through the mind-gut connection. It’s an instant intuitive hit that lands in your heart subtly, gently, and quietly, sharing information that often makes no logical sense, yet provides peace, trust, and certainty, creating ease in your stomach and releasing tension throughout your body. The intuitive hits that have no external validation are often the strongest guides to our destinies—leading us to quantum leaps, manifestations, or even miracles. Within these hits, we experience divine nudges where God whispers, “Go here, do this, walk there, try this. I am leading you to your destiny.”

How do we know whether we’re hearing our intuition or our ego? How do we distinguish truth from delusion? Accuracy from falsehood? How can we tell, when our thoughts all sound the same?

It’s simple: ask yourself this question, then notice how the answer feels in your body. During moments of overthinking or confusion, pause and ask, “Dear self, what is the truth?” Then sit in silence. Observe passing thoughts without identifying with them. For intrusive thoughts, acknowledge them: “That’s a dark thought. I choose to let it pass.”

Then wait. Wait for your heart to reveal the truth—where certain thoughts land in your heart like a gentle wave washing away anxieties, bringing calmness. Often, these truths sound simple:

You’re supposed to stay.
It’s time to go after it.
You haven’t prayed recently.
They’re not your person, but they’re teaching you a big lesson.
Yes, it is aligned, but you’re just overwhelmed.
This is a new layer you’re being invited to heal.
It did happen for a reason.
You’re actually okay.
It couldn’t have gone any other way.
God is with you, even now.
You are exactly where He has placed you.
It hasn’t happened yet because you aren’t ready to fully hold it.
Remember God’s timing, not yours.
This is teaching you how to live deeper by faith.

When you ask this question throughout your day, you energize your inner knowing. You begin acting from truth rather than fear. You explore new paths while effortlessly releasing what no longer serves you—relationships you’ve outgrown and beliefs that no longer resonate.

When you ask, “What is the truth?” you invite God to speak through your thoughts, for He is the ultimate truth-bearer. Through this simple practice, you not only deepen your connection with intuition but also naturally strengthen your relationship with God—giving more energy to His grace than to the negative forces that pull you from it.
