I know you’re going to lay down tonight and run through the list of everything you didn’t do well. The moment you raised your voice. The text you forgot to answer. The thing you meant to do for them and didn’t get to. Please, just for tonight, let me hold that list for you.
You are doing a beautiful job. You don’t see it because you’re inside of it. But the love you’re pouring into them is shaping who they become. They are going to remember the warmth of being yours.
Rest now. You can pick up the worry again tomorrow if you really need to. But tonight, just let me hold you the way you’ve been holding them.
