God Sees Your Effort Even When You Don’t

You keep focusing on how far you still have to go. God keeps noticing how far you’ve already come.

God: I see you trying You: Trying what?

God: Everything. To be better. To heal. To show up. To keep going when quitting feels easier. I see all of it.

You: It doesn’t feel like enough for you, God God: Because you’re measuring progress by outcomes. I’m measuring it by effort. And your effort? It’s more than enough.

You: But I keep messing up

Learning what you need to learn. Becoming who you need to become.

– Jacqueline Whitney

God: So? You’re human. Messing up is part of the process. What matters is that you keep trying after you mess up. And you do. Every single time.

You: I just feel like I should be further along by now

God: Further along according to who? You’re exactly where you need to be. Learning what you need to learn. Becoming who you need to become.

You: I’m tired

God: I know. But tired doesn’t mean failing. It means you’re doing hard things. And I’m proud of you for not giving up.

You: You are? That gives me strength. Thank you, God

God: I am. You showed up today. You’re still trying. That’s all I need from you. Keep going. You’re doing better than you think.
