God’s Love Language Is The Protection You Didn’t Ask For

I think God’s love language is protection you don’t see. It’s the car accident that almost happened but didn’t. The toxic relationship that ended before you got too deep. The job you didn’t get that would’ve destroyed your mental health. The person who ghosted you who would’ve wasted your time. The door that closed that you cried about for months, until you realized what was behind it would’ve hurt you. God shows love by removing things. By redirecting. By saying no when you’re begging for yes.

It doesn’t feel like love in the moment. It feels like rejection. But years later you look back and realize: that was him loving you the whole time.
