New Voicemail From God — 11:42 PM

You didn’t fail because it didn’t last. It fulfilled its role — even if that role was to show you what you’ll never accept again.

There are people who stay. And there are people who shape you for what’s coming next. Both matter.

New Voicemail from God — 11:42 PM

“I want to talk to you about the people who came in to teach you, not to stay.

You didn’t do anything wrong. They were never meant to stay.

– Jacqueline Whitney

I know you’ve been mourning some of them. You’ve been wondering what you did wrong. Why you couldn’t keep them. Why some seasons of your life feel populated by ghosts now.

You didn’t do anything wrong. They were never meant to stay.

Some people are sent to teach you what you needed to learn. They show you what you won’t tolerate anymore. They reveal patterns you needed to break.

They love you in a way that prepares you to recognize real love when it arrives. They hurt you in a way that wakes up parts of you that needed to wake up. And then they’re gone.

Their job wasn’t to stay forever. Their job was to be a chapter, a lesson, a mirror. To help you become who you needed to become. They served their purpose, even when the purpose was painful.

You don’t have to keep mourning them. You don’t have to keep wondering what could’ve been. They came in for a reason. They left for a reason. Both were sacred.

Honor what they taught you. And let them go.”
