Angel: Does that mean she’s given up?
God: No. It means she’s finally surrendered. There’s a difference. Before, she was praying to change my mind. She was praying to convince me to give her what she wanted. But now? Now she’s letting go. She’s stopped fighting me for control. She’s trusting me to do what’s best, even if it’s not what she asked for.
Angel: So what happens now?
God: Now I can finally move. When she was holding on so tightly, I couldn’t pry it from her hands. But now that she’s released it, I can replace it with what I’ve been holding for her all along.
Angel: She’s going to be surprised, isn’t she?
God: She has no idea how good it’s about to get.
