When You’re Afraid To Show Your Faith, Pray This

When our faith feels private or hidden, it can be tempting to stay quiet or only act when it benefits us. We must remember that the light God gives us isn’t meant to be kept to ourselves, but to be shared so others can see His love through our lives. Pray this with me.

Dear God,

I confess that sometimes I hide my light and faith, or only show myself for personal glory rather than pointing others to you. But I know the light inside of me is a manifestation of your character, and that part of my role is to let my light shine before others, especially in a world full of darkness.

Today, I ask you to help me live visibly faithful in my life. Give me the strength, courage, and bravery to share my light, with no fear of being seen or worry about how it’ll be perceived. Help me resemble you through my good deeds, so that others can see your love through my actions. I commit today to shining bright—not for my own recognition, but so that others may see you clearly and find their way to you. May my light illuminate your character and give others permission to shine their own light as well.

Amen.
