Some blessings come in the form of people and these people are your best friends, your circle, your support system. The people who keep reminding us how blessed we are to have them in our lives. The friends who show up when we need them, whether to celebrate or to mourn. The people who go out of their way to help us. The ones who see us cry and talk about our pain for hours until we feel better. The ones who make us laugh, no matter how tough life gets. These people are not coincidences, they’re God sent.
We often talk about God sending us ‘the one’ or the life partner we’re looking for but we don’t stop and think about the ‘real ones’ that God has already sent our way. The real-life partners who have been with us throughout our journey. The ones who are not here for half of the ride. The ones we can truly call our soul mates or soul sisters or brothers. The ones who watched people come and go in our lives while they stayed. The only constant in our lives and one of God’s greatest gifts to us.
These aren’t surface-level connections, they’re our guardian angels here on earth. God often sends them to heal us, remind us of our worth when we can’t see it, love us a little harder when we feel broken and speak some sense into us when we’re confused and angry. They also save us from betrayal, from unhealthy relationships, and sometimes they save us from our very own self-destructive tendencies. God can sometimes speak to us through our friends who give us hope, love, support and kindness when we need it most.
Even though we argue with them, disagree and have our misunderstandings and fights, they’ll always be the ones who feel like home. The ones we go back to, no matter where life takes us, and the ones who truly deserve our hearts. When you find these people, never let them go, hold them close to your heart and thank God for their presence in your life because sometimes the biggest blessings aren’t the things we’re waiting for, they’re the people walking beside us right now.
