You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.
Romans 8:9–11
Devotional Message
Your identity has fundamentally shifted from simply human to a Divine being. “You are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit” declares that you’re no longer defined by ego limitations, bodily desires, or earthly perspectives alone. You’re operating from a different reality now—the realm where Spirit governs, where divine presence directs, where eternal perspective supersedes temporal circumstances.
“If indeed the Spirit of God lives in you” isn’t questioning whether this is true but inviting you to recognize what’s already real. The Spirit of God—the very presence that hovered over creation’s waters, that empowered prophets and anointed kings—lives in you. Not visits occasionally but dwells permanently, making your body a temple, your heart a sanctuary, your life a dwelling place for divine presence.
The mystical truth here is that you carry within you the Spirit who raised the dead. When you feel lifeless, exhausted, depleted—the same Spirit who called Lazarus from the tomb, who raised Jesus from death, who breathed life into dust at creation lives in you. This Spirit gives life to your mortal body not someday but today, not theoretically but practically, not abstractly but tangibly through His indwelling presence.
Let’s Pray
God, help me recognize that I’m no longer in the realm of flesh but in the realm of Spirit because You live in me. When my body feels weak and depleted, remind me that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is dwelling in me. Give life to my body today through Your presence within me. Amen.
