We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:4
Devotional Message
Jesus’s resurrection wasn’t just about Him, nor was it solely about forgiveness—it was the divine mirror reflecting our own inherent nature that we can awaken to at every given moment. It is the audacious invitation to face our deepest fears, allowing the false self to dissolve and remembering our true identity. The same divine energy that raised Jesus, that flowed through Him, that revealed His true nature, is the same sacred presence alive within us all.
Knowing that we are united with Christ in both death and resurrection begs the question: how can we continuously live from this divine nature instead of the ego’s illusions? Each day is an opportunity to embody the ways that Jesus Himself demonstrated. To love deeper, forgive faster, serve stronger. Yet this awakening cannot happen through human striving alone—just as Jesus surrendered to the Divine Source within, we must access the sacred energy that has always been our true essence.
This process is less about becoming and more about remembering—recognizing that we already carry the light within us and have always possessed this divine nature. It’s about awakening to the truth of who we’ve always been beneath the layers of conditioning and fear. This remembrance empowers us to transform our daily choices—to respond from love rather than react from fear, to be present rather than lost in mental chatter, to radiate the divine energy that is our birthright. From this place of remembered wholeness, we not only return to our true divine nature, but become catalysts awakening others to their own.
Let’s Pray
Dear God, help me today to live from my new identity in Christ and embody the character that Jesus demonstrated. I want to access your Spirit’s power within me to overcome fears, doubts or worries that prevent me from walking in the wholeness you’ve given me. Grant wisdom to understand what this “new life” looks like, and give me strength daily to live by Christ’s Spirit. I know each experience is shaping me to grow and transform, so I can be freed from my past and old nature and embrace the new creation you’ve made me to be. Help me make choices that reflect this transformation—to respond rather than react, to be present rather than distracted, to love deeper and serve stronger. As I live from this renewed identity, may I also become a catalyst for others to discover their own transformation in you. Amen.
