Devotional Message

Our words hold immense power, and the moment we speak from a place of faith versus doubt, we operate from the energy of certainty—that whatever we seek, whatever we pray for, whatever we desire, will be brought to us in God’s perfect timing.

When we declare something, we are telling God, ‘I want this.’ But oftentimes, what we declare or speak about are things we don’t even want. We focus on what’s wrong, we think of the worst-case scenarios, we find limitations. Or, what we say we want isn’t what we actually desire—we dilute the truth because we are afraid of asking for what is most right. But here’s the thing—when we declare we want something, God will answer. What He provides isn’t always what we want, but rather, what we truly need. The desire is always real and true—to be happy, to fall in love, to be healed—but the ways in which it manifests may look different than what we imagine, or in different timing than what we hope for. God sees our requests, understands the truth behind them, and then fulfills His promises in a way that is aligned with His will.

Throughout this journey, the promise of divine guidance—that ‘light will shine on your ways’—always holds steadfast. So rather than only declaring what we want, we should also declare for guidance—to ask to receive not only the manifestation of what we desire, but also the clarity on how to get there. When we ask for the truth, the path, the way to arrive, God confirms and establishes our declarations, shows us the way, and always blesses us with the unimaginable.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for the power you give to my words, and that you give weight to every word I utter. So today, I am asking you to give me wisdom in what to declare—what to pray for, what to ask for, what guidance to seek. I want to live in alignment with your will, and I want to speak from a place of faith over fear, fully trusting that you will establish what I declare according to your perfect plan.

Please offer me divine light and guidance as I work towards bringing my desires to life, knowing that light will shine on my ways as you lead me. Help me declare your truth over my circumstances and trust in your timing. Amen.
