Devotional Message

Our prayers, desires, imagination, and dreams are just the starting point for what God can do in our lives. Even when we have crystal clear visions of what we are seeking to call in—be it extraordinary love, restorative physical healing, financial abundance and freedom, or success in our creative endeavors—God’s blessings will always exceed our expectations. And we’ve danced with this truth before—how many times have you prayed for something, thinking it would manifest in a certain way, only for it to be exponentially better than what you thought was even possible? This is proof of the limitation of human imagination compared to God’s unlimited power—where we are shown previews solely to keep us in a state of deep faith, trust, and surrender, but then left hidden from what’s to come, so that the moment we meet our greatest manifestations, our hearts are filled with awe, wonder, and deep gratitude.

When things take a long time or we question whether our dreams are even possible, especially in moments where our reality shows little to no proof of it being real, we are guided to move from small thinking to truly believing God for the impossible. This is a declaration and a choice, where we don’t put our faith in ourselves to do the impossible, but trust that God has the almighty power Himself to do so. Our belief is in Him, not in ourselves or our realities.

Although it’s easier for us to simply ask God for what we want, we must open our palms and surrender our hearts to His ‘immeasurably more.’ From this state, our prayer life changes from a state of limitation towards abundance, our faith exceeds expectation and the need for proof in our reality, and we open the playing field for God to surpass the limits of the human mind. God’s power is always working within us to accomplish His deepest will and purpose for our lives—His desire is to bless us beyond our comprehension, so that when the moment does meet us, we remember and know it came directly from Him.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, thank you for Your unlimited power that surpasses my human limitations and understanding. With the prayers and dreams I hold in my heart, today I ask You to help me expand my faith and expectations of what You can do. Allow me to foster deeper trust in Your ‘immeasurably more,’ especially in moments where I doubt the possibility. I want to fulfill Your purpose for my life, so guide me into boldly praying bigger prayers, knowing You can do even more when I open the playing field. I know You will bless me beyond my wildest imagination, and I will thank You now, knowing that very soon, I will look up and say, ‘God, this was all You.’ Amen.
