Devotional Message

Our faith grows during the trials, not after we’ve surpassed them. It is in moments where we struggle to understand, where we question whether we have strength to keep going, when we are on the brink of giving up, that our trust in God deepens beyond what we thought possible. Those pivotal moments—where we choose to worship God even when we can’t comprehend His plan—are precisely when He infuses our hearts with deeper trust, enabling us to continue walking forward. Yet many of us believe that strength is deepened in the aftermath of each challenge, when in truth, it is in the journey of overcoming it that we grow our relationship with God.

When we persevere through difficulties, we gain evidence of our genuine love for God. The purpose of each test is not to defeat, deplete, or consume us, but to achieve a deep love for our Creator and the way He works, and prepare us for greater things. Each trial expands our capacity to receive God’s love and light, growing us into people who can receive the bigger blessings God has in store. For any dream we have, any significant goal we hope to accomplish—the path will always be filled with ups and downs. When we conquer the smaller mountains, we gain courage, strength and determination to climb the larger ones—and we access the truth that God is with us throughout all of it.

We have a choice each day to endure every trial faithfully rather than merely surviving them. When we believe in the promise of eternal reward, we fill our hearts with hope that whatever we’re currently experiencing is simply preparation for our greatest prayers to be answered. We don’t minimize real pain, but we maximize the fruit it can bear through faithful perseverance. The crown of life awaits those who love God enough to trust Him through every season. In this way, every test becomes a stepping stone toward the life God has designed for us.

Let’s Pray

Dear God, please give me strength to persevere through current trials and tests without losing faith in you and the plans you have for me. I want to renew my mind to see trials as opportunities for spiritual growth rather than just hardship. When my circumstances feel overwhelming, please give me hope that someday, these challenges will turn into something beautiful. Even if it becomes more difficult today, I promise to deepen my love and trust for you, knowing that you will reward my faithfulness. Thank you for growing my character and faith through the testing process—I will choose to believe that all of it is unfolding for my highest good, even when it feels unbearable. Help me remember that the crown of life awaits those who love you through every season. May I stand the test with grace, knowing that my present faithfulness is preparing me for future blessings. Amen.
