You’re Exactly Where You Need To Be

You’ve been measuring yourself against a version of your life that hasn’t happened yet. Counting what you haven’t accomplished. Comparing your timeline to everyone else’s. And somewhere in the middle of all that measuring, you forgot to give yourself credit for the thing that actually matters most — you’re still here. You’re still trying. You’re still becoming. And that, quietly, is everything. This is God reminding you that the small faithfulness counts too.

God: I’m proud of you.

You: For what?

God: For still being here. For showing up today even when it was hard. For choosing yourself when it would’ve been easier to settle. For setting that boundary even though your hands were shaking.

You: I don’t feel like I’ve done anything worth being proud of.

You’re doing so much better than you think.

– Jacqueline Whitney

God: That’s the problem. You’re measuring worth by outcomes instead of effort. You’re only counting the big moments and dismissing the small faithfulness. But I see it all. I see you trying. I see you healing. I see you not giving up even when you want to.

You: I just feel like I should be further along.

God: You’re exactly where you need to be. And I’m proud of who you’re becoming. I’m proud that you didn’t go back. I’m proud that you honored your peace. I’m proud that you’re still believing even when you can’t see the plan.

You: Really?

God: Really. You’re doing so much better than you think. And I see every bit of it.
