You’re Not Losing Them, You’re Being Redirected To Someone Better

Walking away from someone you still care about can feel like stepping into the unknown—like you’re risking the only chance you had at something real. The fear isn’t just about losing them; it’s about wondering if anything better will ever come. But sometimes what feels like giving up is actually making space. This honest, soul-searching dialogue explores the difference between love that drains you and love that chooses you—fully, clearly, and without hesitation. It’s a reminder that the right connection won’t leave you questioning your worth, and that letting go of “almost” might be the very thing that leads you to what’s truly meant for you.

You: I’m terrified that if I walk away, I’ll never find this again.

God: Let them lose you.

You: But what if they’re the closest I’ll ever get?

God: The closest to what? To love that makes you anxious? To connection that feels like work? To someone who makes you question your worth? That’s not close to what I have for you that’s the opposite of it.

The right person won’t feel like something you have to fight for.

You: I just don’t want to give up on something that could be good.

God: You’re not giving up. You’re making space. You’re releasing someone who’s shown you they’re not ready so you can receive someone who is. The right person won’t feel like something you have to fight for. They won’t make you wonder if you’re enough. They won’t require you to shrink or beg or prove yourself.

You: How do I know they’re out there?

God: Because I wouldn’t ask you to let go of this if I wasn’t preparing to give you that. Trust me. Let them lose you. The person I have for you won’t let you slip away. They won’t make you feel disposable. They’ll choose you clearly, consistently, without hesitation. But you have to release what’s almost so I can bring you what’s actually yours.
